Mayan have been working closely with Filon to push the boundaries of GRP production in the innovative range of new roofing systems; the highly versatile Armoured GRP provides a waterproofing layer beneath any type of slate or stone to enable installation in the single lap method, to offer a 43% material and weight saving.

The Filon investment will ensure continuity in the supply of the essential high quality GRP components required for the impressive system and enable the future development of a further series of exciting GRP innovations internationally.

Filon, as one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of GRP with a proven track record in the manufacture of high-quality GRP products, is committed to innovation. The team at Mayan, responsible for some of the UK’s most innovative roofing products over the last decade, are set to continue with a fresh approach and catalogue of new and exciting roofing products. This close collaboration with Filon will propel Mayan’s capacity for releasing pioneering products into the market. The strategic move is described as the ‘perfect fit’ for both and Mayan and Filon. 
 
The exciting new ArmouredSlate, ArmouredStone and RealRidge systems will be showcased at the upcoming RCI show on 28th & 29th September at the Stadium MK in Milton Keynes.
