House in the prestigious, heritage area of Corfe Castle, chooses the Armoured Stone roofing system.
It was a great day delivering a few additional Armoured Stone Tiles for this stone roof replacement at a local site in Corfe, Dorset, and seeing this project really come together.
We visited the site to hand delivery a few extra tiles, as well as take some great progress photos, see how well the roof was being installed, and hear some first-hand feedback from the roofers.
We worked alongside the contractor for a few months before supplying the full stone roofing system, fixings, ridge and membrane for this project, answering questions and ensuring we could supply and deliver to their timeline, which was no problem.
The homeowner originally discovered our natural Armoured stone system when looking for a more modern and cost effective alternative to traditional stone roofing. In the heritage Corfe area, it was very important to use a traditional and natural stone roof, but the site had difficult access and was a full modern renovation of a traditional cottage.
The contractor collected a full set of samples from us locally, and after seeing and testing the product on site with the customer and the roofers, they were very excited to order from us locally in Weymouth.
Originally, they were only looking to use Armoured Stone on the extension, as the pitch was lower than the rest of the house. However, after comparing quotes and loving the Armoured Stone system, the homeowner decided that he wanted to replace the whole roof for the Armoured Stone and Real ridge, which has given a beautiful, modern heritage and premium appearance.
It was brilliant to hear such positive feedback from the roofers — they told us the system is straightforward to install, looks fantastic, and is something they want to use on their own homes!
