All-in-one RealRidge Slate – a new favourite for many roofers

After years of development, when the all-in-one RealRidge was launched it was a brand-new product in the market and contractors have never used anything like this before.

Roofers can sometimes be hesitant when trying a new products, however RealRidge has naturally built a name for itself because of this year high quality design, manufacture, performance and appearance. We now have many contractors that will only use our slate ridges, after they discover them and use for the first time.

This project was completed by one of our loyal contractors who discovered RealRidge online, after searching for the perfect ridge product for the many high-end slate roofs he completes regularly. We now work closely with his local merchant to supply the all-in-one RealRidge for all of his slate roofs. Not only is this contractor over the moon with RealRidge, but he regularly feeds back that his clients/homeowners are always outstanded when he introduces the product of them.

The installation of this roof is second to none and the ridges match perfectly with the slates.

Because the ridges are made from completely natural slate from the quarry, the slate has a natural colour variation, where no two are the same, matching perfectly with natural slates on the roof and giving a sleek but traditional appearance. 12mm graphite on the all-in-one defines the top of the roof and gives a clean and neat line.

Block Ends

This contractor is also a massive fan of our Block Ends, which he always orders to finish the run. The All-in-one RealRidge Block Ends mean that there is no gap when looking up at the verge. They have a neat appearance but are also striking and fit perfectly well with the structure of the rest of the roof. The block and you’re available in all angles so can be used it every section of the roof to give cohesion, and look particularly good on the front of a dormer.

Our ridges can also be cut to fit, at 500mm length, although handy to work out, may not always fit the house dimensions. When cutting the ridge, the clip side should be removed and the final ridge reversed, so that the cut ridge is then placed over both connectors, meaning there is still our waterproofing system with no additional systems required, even when cutting the ridges. For the same reason, our block ends have the waterproofing connector installed on them.

Slate Ridge Junction

As you can see in the image, Mayan natural slate ridges can be cut to a mitre where there is a junction, just like any other ridge system, creating a perfectly neat finish in this example.
